I just finished Twisted Lies by Ana Huang, and… whew. This one left me conflicted in the best way. Let’s talk about it. Then keep reading for my official Twisted Series Ranking, complete with vibes and song pairings
Twisted Lies — Final Rating: 3.5/5
Another one down in the Twisted universe, and I’m left with mixed feelings.

Christian Harper? Peak morally gray energy. He’s cold, calculating, and possessive in the most unhinged way possible—and I loved every second of being inside his head. His obsessive devotion to Stella was intense but incredibly well-written, and their chemistry crackled through the page. The fake dating trope? Always a yes from me. And there were moments that were so electric, I actually stopped to reread the scene again.
Stella, on the other hand, was sweet and independent, but I just didn’t connect with her as deeply as I did with the other Twisted girls. There were times I found myself waiting for her to push back more or really step into her strength. I wanted more edge to her arc, especially compared to the tension Christian brought to every chapter.
Plot-wise, this one took longer to build. The twists were there, but they didn’t land quite as hard as I’d hoped. That said, the found family dynamics from the friend group? Still going strong. And the way Christian would burn the world for Stella? Yeah… I swooned. There’s something about the man who says so little but would start a war for his girl.
It wasn’t my favorite in the series (hi, Twisted Games), but it was still a fun, addictive read if you're in the mood for a possessive billionaire and a soft girl who learns to stand her ground.
Ranking the Twisted Series
+ Aesthetic Vibes & Song Matches
1. Twisted Love
4/5
Brother’s best friend, emotional walls, slow burn with a punch.
Song: “Lovely” by Billie Eilish & Khalid
Aesthetic: Rainy windows, old letters, city lights at night.
Alex and Ava’s story was painful and beautiful. I was hooked on the vulnerability and how their emotional wounds played into the romance. Dark, angsty, and deeply addictive.
2. Twisted Games
4/5
Bodyguard romance, forbidden tension, royal drama.
Song: “You Belong With Me” (Taylor’s Version) by Taylor Swift
Aesthetic: Golden castles, stolen glances, ballgowns & combat boots.
Rhys and Bridget stole my heart. The slow-burn intensity paired with forbidden royal romance was everything. I lived for every rule they broke.
3. Twisted Lies
3.5/5
Fake dating, morally gray CEO, slow tension.
Song: “Everything” by The Black Skirts
Aesthetic: Black lingerie, soft florals, sleek apartments, late-night secrets.
Christian was perfection. Stella grew on me. It didn’t hit me as hard as the others, but it had its moments of pure obsessive-love gold.
4. Twisted Hate
3/5
Song: “Talking Body” by Tove Lo
Aesthetic: Snarky banter, neon lights, spilled coffee, bruised knuckles.
Jules and Josh were fire together, but I felt more heat than heart. The banter was fun and the tension was sky-high, but I didn’t fully believe the shift from hate to love.
Final Thoughts
The Twisted series gave me everything I love in romance—tension, found family, emotional damage, swoony grand gestures, and women who fight to own their voices. Even when a book didn’t completely click, Ana Huang’s writing always kept me hooked.
If you're into:
Slow burns with bite
Possessive MMCs
Soft-but-strong heroines
Romance with emotional depth and spice
...this series is worth the hype.
